In Leaside and Bennington Heights, home sales in September increased by 17.6% compared to the same period in 2011, from 14 homes to 17 in 2012. The value over the same time frame rose 3.4% to an average sale price of $1,159,445. This past September, homes sold at an average of 104% of the asking price in 12 days. Not bad Leaside, great ROI.
Year-to-date home sales are down 15.3% in 2012, from 166 to 144 homes sold. The average value of a home in the neighbourhood rose 11% this year, to $1,213,729. That’s a great ROI in a tight market.
As of October 9, 2012, there were also 27 homes available in Leaside and Bennington Heights, ranging from a end unit Townhome overlooking Trace Manes Park at $649,000 to the original Lea family home, one of Leaside’s signature homes, on Heather Rd asking $3,295,000.
